About Volunteering

Volunteering at the Literacy Council is fun, rewarding, and flexible.

With opportunities ranging from one to two hours a year to a regular weekly commitment, there are many options to fit your schedule. As a small non-profit, volunteers are essential to the success of our programs, so your efforts make a real impact on the local community. Whether you want to utilize a current skill or learn something new, we look forward to having you join our volunteer crew.

Opportunities

There are many short-term and long-term volunteer opportunities throughout the year.

We depend on volunteer support to: plan and run our annual fundraisers, get the word out about the Literacy Council’s services, design brochures and other outreach items, update the webpage, staff the front office, take photos of events, tutor students, and more.
